Urban Art as Cultural Legacy – Blazhe Koneski & Stale Popov

We produced the full visual identity and documentation of this street art project celebrating two of North Macedonia’s greatest cultural figures. Through documentary videos, promotional media, and high-quality photography, we translated mural art into narrative, connecting heritage with contemporary urban expression.

Commissioned by Dream Factory in collaboration with the Center for Contemporary Art – Prilep, this project marked the 30th anniversary of North Macedonia’s independence through a bold artistic tribute. The initiative focused on reactivating the legacy of poet and linguist Blazhe Koneski and novelist Stale Popov by translating their presence into monumental public art.

3rd Sector Production led the entire media production process, including:

Two professional short documentaries
Promotional video materials for public distribution
High-resolution photo documentation of the mural process and events
Media campaign assets for digital platforms and press
Archival content for cultural preservation

The murals were painted by renowned academic artists Sanja Jezdić, Ferdi Bulut, and Aleksandar Džingo on carefully selected urban walls, turning forgotten spaces into cultural landmarks. Our role was to visually amplify the message: that street art can carry history, provoke identity, and reintroduce national icons to new generations through creative language.

This project embodies a layered approach to heritage, memory, and urban renewal, where media and street art converge to celebrate timeless stories in a contemporary form.
